In 2011, the Equal Opportunity Scholarship Act was passed by the Oklahoma Legislature and signed by the Governor. This Act provides a 50% income tax credit for donations made to a Scholarship-Granting Organization. The Catholic Schools Opportunity Scholarship Fund, Inc. serves as a Scholarship-Granting Organization and accepts individual and corporate tax-deductible contributions, which will also be eligible for the state income tax credit.

Annually, a minimum of 90% of the funds received are granted as scholarships (tuition assistance) to students attending Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese. The Scholarship Program, with the guidance and approval of the Archdiocesan Superintendant of Catholic Schools, accepts applications from Catholic students who have been nominated for this scholarship by their school principal.

To be eligible for scholarship nomination, a student must:

1.       Qualify for the Federal Free or Reduced-Cost Lunch Program.

2.       Reside in the United States legally.
