The Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma seeks to inspire generosity leading to endowments and charitable funds supporting parishes, schools, and other ministries of the Catholic Church in central and western Oklahoma. The foundation’s board is made up of volunteers from parishes throughout the Archdiocese who agree to serve a three-year term.
Recently, the board approved five new board members for Archbishop Paul Coakley to appoint to the Board of Directors. Each will serve a three-year term starting in July 2021 and ending in June 2024.
Mr. Chuck Duginski
Chuck and his wife, Robyn, are members of Saint Eugene Parish and have three children who attended the Catholic School of Saint Eugene and Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School. Chuck served as co-chair of the design committee and member of the building committee for the new St. Eugene church. He recently co-chaired the parish capital campaign for One Church, Many Disciples and is currently chairman of the building planning process for school/parish expansion. Chuck also serves as a member of the Archdiocesan Building Committee and is a member of the Assembly of Catholic Professionals. In his professional life, Chuck is Chairman and CEO of Chaparral Energy.
Rev. Aaron Foshee
Growing up in Jones, Father Foshee came into the Church on Easter Sunday 2000. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University and graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in music and vocal performance. In Fall 2009, he entered seminary formation at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in Indiana where he received a Master of Arts in Catholic Philosophical Studies and a Master of Divinity. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 27, 2015 and has served as parochial vicar of Saint Francis Xavier and Saint Gregory the Great in Enid, and later at Christ the King in Oklahoma City. Father Foshee is pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Ada and Saint Francis Xavier Parish in Sulphur.
Mr. Gary Gatewood
Gary is a member of Saint Joseph Old Cathedral Parish in Oklahoma City where he serves on the parish building committee, as an usher and as a regular volunteer. He is a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and a member of Legatus, a lay organization for Catholic CEOs. Gary is on the board of Jesus House, a residential and outpatient treatment, shelter and feeding ministry to addicts and the homeless in downtown Oklahoma City. He owns Synergy Datacom Supply, Inc., a regional distributor of network infrastructure and security products. He is married to Chele Gatewood.
Mr. David Johnson
David is the chief financial officer of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and has served the Archdiocese since 1998. He is responsible for the operations of the Archdiocese Secretariat for Finance. David serves as secretary/treasurer of the Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma. The Catholic faith has been a central part of his and his family’s life. David and his wife, Kathy, and all their children attended Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. They are active members of Saint Charles Borromeo Parish.
Mrs. Thy Nguyen
Thy is a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Oklahoma City where she serves as a catechist and regular volunteer. She is a Dame of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and highly engaged in Catholic life. Thy is a member of the Assembly of Catholic Professionals and is a regular participant in the Archbishop’s Dinner for seminarian education and numerous other events and activities supporting the Church. She owns VII Bistro, an Asian fusion restaurant, with her husband David Nguyen.
