The Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma awards grants to help build a culture of conversion and discipleship in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
Parishes, missions and apostolates are encouraged to apply for a Parish Life Grant to support various ministry projects.Catholic schools are encouraged to apply for an Education Grant to support projects within the schools. Some of the fruits of a grant project that carry out the mission might include:
- Better mass attendance;
- Return to the Sacrament of Reconciliation;
- Greater culture of prayer and perpetual adoration;
- Liturgical formation and music are at their best;
- Culture of vocation promotion and discernment;
- Catechists formed and articulate in their Catholic faith;
- Vibrant programming for young adults;
- Engagement with married couples;
- Parents engaged and evangelizing their children;
- Active parishioners reaching out to the “fallen away” Catholics;
- Strong outreach to shut-ins;
- Greater outreach to the poor and marginalized;
- Unity and cooperation among language groups/cultures.
